Telesign APIs

Welcome to Telesign’s “There’s an API for that” blog series, where we dive into the ways that Telesign APIs can streamline, enhance, and protect your digital ecosystem. In this series, we explore Telesign’s diverse range of APIs, each designed to solve specific challenges, from verifying user identities to optimizing customer interactions, and detecting fraud in real time. Each blog post provides insights into how our APIs integrate seamlessly with your existing systems, empowering developers and product managers to innovate faster and deliver secure, reliable solutions.

Whether you’re looking to add multifactor authentication, improve messaging reliability, or strengthen customer connections, Telesign has an API for that—and we’re here to show you how. Check out the topics we cover in our “There’s an API for that” blog series below.

Detect suspicious phone numbers

Better understand the risk of an interaction by evaluating phone numbers using an extensive set of static and behavioral attributes with Telesign Intelligence.

Identify fraud risks

Telesign Phone ID provides real-time global phone number insights that can strengthen authentications, evaluate risks, and help determine the best communication method for a phone number. Use Phone ID to detect:

Anonymous VoIP numbers

Use phone type information to detect and block risky Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone numbers from creating new accounts.

A number from a SIM Farm

Review a phone number’s current carrier subscriber status. including the account activation date, to detect potential SIM farm attacks.

If a number was compromised in a data breach

Check if a phone number has been recently breached, the date of the breach, and categories of other personal identifiable information (PII) that were compromised.

Recent porting history

Find out if a phone number was recently ported, when it was ported, and where it was ported to.

Verify phone numbers

Ensure users have possession of their mobile devices by using Telesign SMS Verify to send unique, time-based one-time passcodes (OTPs) via SMS.

Authenticate across multiple channels

Get access to all our verification channels in a single integration with Telesign Verify API: SMS, Silent Verification, Push, email, WhatsApp, Viber, and RCS.
