Telesign is committed to further expanding our global footprint by recruiting and hiring talent from around the world. We are dedicated to sourcing talent from across North America, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific markets, paying close attention to where our footprint is as we continue to grow.
We want to ensure we come up with the right strategy to invest in our people, while getting the job done. As we continue to grow, we are committed to being an organization where a diverse, distributed talent pool can thrive and see themselves represented across the enterprise.
In this era of extraordinary growth, we’ve partnered with a talent acquisition group to help us expand our team, prioritizing hiring well-qualified, diverse talent which reflects the global users we serve. We also want to listen to the experience of our candidates as they engage with Telesign to best learn about the hiring process from a new employee’s perspective so we can ensure it is representative of the experience we aspire to curate.
Fundamentally, we believe that the best and most competitive organizations are those with diverse talent – and Telesign is continually striving to be a leader among them.
Putting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the center of the organization
As a company, we are focused on training our leaders to be more inclusive, and we are prioritizing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) plans and initiatives. Meaningful change doesn’t happen through the imposition of leadership teams identifying these priorities as being the right thing to do. Rather, lasting, and impactful change is the product of active listening, followed by identifying the biggest opportunities from insights learned and incorporating learned DEI metrics into organizational goals and business outcomes.
Our growth trajectory is fueled by our ongoing commitment to DEI. We recently hired a head of DEI, Taris Mullins, Senior Manager, Culture, Diversity & Inclusion, and Talent Management, to help us take our DEI initiatives to the next level in a lasting, meaningful way and recognize this is a collective approach for us all to advance these commitments.
The Voice of Telesigners program has been essential to this process. To deepen our understanding of our team voice, we launched a listening tour to talk with our fellow Telesigners to co-design the roadmap for 2022 and are currently establishing employee resource groups (as one example), sponsored by members of the Executive Team.
Based on feedback provided in the Voice of Telesigners staff engagement survey, we most recently announced new guidelines for scheduling meetings between colleagues working in different geographic time zones. We developed a meeting hours policy to support more effective work norms and reinforce balance for our colleagues around the world. This policy includes recommended “regular” working hours for when meetings should be scheduled, guidance on scheduling meetings outside of regular working hours, and a “meeting-free” Friday afternoon policy.
Telesign employee growth by numbers
Telesign’s recruitment and talent team had a busy 2021 with hiring 234 new Telesigners – ending the year with a total headcount of 507 employees globally. In the upcoming year, our growth plans will concentrate on expanding our employee footprint on a global scale – with a focus on expanding our Sales organization – as we seek to increase our employee count by sixty percent.
